Who can apply for economic citizenship in Antigua & Barbuda?
Anyone who is over 18 years of age and is able to make the required investment in an approved project, like The Verandah, can apply. The main applicant’s immediate family members may also apply.


How long does it take for my economic citizenship application to be approved?
Within 90 days after the application is submitted, as set forth in the Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Act 2013.


Where can I travel with my Antigua & Barbuda passport?
Your Antigua & Barbuda passport opens up a world of travel, business, and education opportunities for you and your family members. You may travel to over 130 countries without a visa, including Canada, the United Kingdom, European Union nations, Caribbean nations, and many other countries throughout the world.


How much money do I need to invest to qualify for economic citizenship?
The minimum investment amount is US$400,000, plus applicable government fees.


Will I get returns on my Verandah Estates investment?
CIP Villa owners at Verandah Estates are eligible to participate in an optional rental program, which GUARANTEES that all major ownership expenses will be covered for at least five years. This includes property taxes, insurance, utilities, gardening, pool maintenance, and association assessments.

Is there an Exit Strategy?
Verandah Estates offers a resale program whereby we will offer your Villa for sale at a minimum asking price of US$450,000 after five years of ownership. If for any reason your Villa sells for less than US$450,000, then Verandah Estates will not charge any fees or commissions upon completion of the resale.


How long is the term of this investment?

The Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship Act 2013 states that you must maintain ownership of your investment for at least five years. After five years, you may sell your Villa.


Do I need to spend any time in Antigua?
Yes. The Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Act 2013 states that all applicants must spend at least 5 days in Antigua after receiving their passports. To assist with these residency requirements, investors and their co-applicant family members may stay in their Villa, or enjoy discounted accommodations at The Verandah Resort & Spa.


What are the Governmental fees?
The Governmental processing, due diligence, and passport fees are set forth in the Fee Schedule of the Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Act 2013. Your sales representative will explain the fees and help you determine the total amount based on the number of applicants and their relationship to the main applicant.


Are CIP Villas at Verandah Estates offered for sale in the United States?
No. CIP Villas at Verandah Estates are not offered in the United States and are not available to United States citizens. Verandah Estates Limited is an Antigua & Barbuda company and does not maintain an office or other place of business in the United States or any other location outside of Antigua & Barbuda.
